Audio quality is great. Tried an RF set about 5 years ago and got a lot of static and was hard to tune properly. IR is Static free with good range and no frequency drift. Wouldn't use anything else. On my second pair. Most importantly, it brings the sound coming from the TV directly to my ears. Indispensable!
