The Unisar TV Listener Headphones from Active and Able let you watch TV, or listen to your favorite radio programs, without disturbing others. These Unisar headsets are great for people that are hearing impaired because one person can listen at a higher volume than the other.
Unisar TV Listener headphones works like your remote control. It sends infrared signals from your TV to headsets. The headset has a receiver that converts the infrared waves into sound. Unisar TV Listener comes with adapters that enable it to work with any television, stereo, audio device or sound source. The Unisar Headsets must always be in view of the transmitter in order for the sound to work due to being an infrared system. Because it is not a radio wave device it will not get interference from your cordless phones, wireless networks, microwaves etc....

Comments about Unisar TV Listener Wireless Headphones:

This is a good very basic headphone. It works on infrared, so you need to be in line-of-sight with the base to have reception. Sound quality is good. Comfort is good (band is adjustable). It works on two AA batteries, which last about a month with 45 minutes a day use. Usually one would use alkaline batteries, but I use rechargable NiMH batteries.
The base includes a little microphone to set next to the TV's loudspeaker for old TV's that don't have an audio jack.
I would have given this product an "excellent" rating, save for one annoying quirk: It picks up radio stations! This is weird, since it is supposed to receive an infrared signal, not radio signals. I live about a mile from KNX-1070-AM's transmitter antenna, I can see it from my front balcony. If I get in a certain position, I can hear KNX traffic reports softly in the background while watching TV.

Comments about Unisar TV Listener Wireless Headphones:

Already own a pair for home. They are now being purchased for our Seniors at work so Everyone can enjoy the nightly movies and no one has to leave the room because it is too too loud. Now the few who have a hard time hearing can listen as loud as they want without disturbing anyone around them...this is going to be GREAT

I use them when I watch TV as I'm hard of hearing and I don't have to have TV sound to loud for my husband.I have 2 sets and just bought one for my son. Our grandson uses them when he's here and we go to bed so the TV doesn't keep us awake. They are just great.

Although conmfortable and came with good selection of connectors, it's one frequency is shared by a neighbor and we picked up two sources at once. If you live in close proximity to others using same, you might have problems.

Comments about Unisar TV Listener Wireless Headphones:

I am hearing impaired and I use my headphones to watch TV, especially when my husband is watching it with me. I love the headphones because I can clearly understand everything that is being said on the TV which is almost impossible without them even if I were to turn the volume up. The only drawback I have found is that you have to have a direct line of contact between the receiver and the headphone contact point for them to work or you will get static so you can not just sit or lay anywhere in the room without readjusting the receiver placement, etc.
