Handybar works with most vehicles. The Handybar attaches to the door striker on the inside of your car's door frame. This is the same steel loop that your car's door latches to when the door is closed. Some cars, however, do not have the square loop. Some, such as some BMW's and Mercedes-Benz have a peg instead. Handybar will not work with such vehicles. And, new with the HandyBar:

The seatbelt cutter which will allow you to exit the car in an emergency if the seatbelt buckle won't release. The seatbelt fits in the slot but fingers don't.
The new shape allows it to be used as a side glass breakage tool in case you need to exit the car in an emergency and the door won't open.

This is a "handy" tool! It gives me that extra hand hold for when I am getting out of the car. I like the fact that it can also be used as an emergency tool.
