I bought 2 for my wifes uncle.
Takes multiple attemps to set-up. The 1st one took me 6 attemps to setup, but once that was over it work as expected for a low vision person. Worked so well that I ordered a second one. This one took me well over an hour to setup. A couple of months after the programing disapear, but I could not reset it up. Now I just be told that the 1st has stop working and I have to travel 80 miles round trip to see if it works. Great idea, but needs some re-thinking. PS: I have a technical degree with lots of experience.

I purchased 2 of these remotes for my elderly vision impaired mother. They are very easy for her to operate, which is the reason for purchase. On the downside, the instructions for set up should have included the fact. that it msy take as many as 250 clicks to get them set up. At first I thought they just weren't going to work on her television. I'm glad I didn't give up and send them back. If not for this problem, I would have given them 5 stars

Never could get the channel & mute buttons to work with a NEW Sansui TV...moved it to the OLD Sylvania and it finally worked. It is great if you can get it to work, but not for all models. We bought a second remote (different brand), similar, but with codes to match TV and it was MUCH easier to install...

I purchsed this item for my 83 year old mom. It is great for her in that it is so simple to use and easy to see buttons. Setup was a little difficult on her tv as it took a long time for the tv to respond to the remote, could be due to the age of the tv set.

I purchased this for my 95 year old mother. She has failing eyesight, she has trouble with the remote that came with her tv. It has way too many buttons and invariably she ends up pushing the wrong one and loses her closed captioning. I set this one up in two minutes and hid her other remote. She loves how it lights up in the dark!
I would recommend it for anyone with elderly parents. I will purchase one for myself when the time comes.

I purchased this Tel Pak remote for my 90 year old Mother who was having difficulty operating the many buttons on her remote control. There were so many buttons & her eyesight so poor that she would cause her TV not to work because of all the wrong buttons she would push. I would have to re-set her TV every time I would visit. Now, w/ the new Tel Pak, her TV never needs re-programmed and she feels a sense of accomplishment to be able to operate this remote by herself. It was extremely easy to set up and we are more than pleased w/ our purchase. Thanks!
